Acer is capping off the year with the announcement of a new high-end gaming monitor – the Predator X32 FP. As you would expect from a top-end gaming display, this monitor packs a 4K panel with high refresh rate and of course, Mini LED backlighting and HDR capabilities.

Acer Taiwan shared the monitor specifications through Instagram (via Prad). According to the post, the monitor will come with a 32-inch quantum dot display panel featuring a 165Hz maximum refresh rate (overclock), 1ms response time and 4K resolution. The display is certified with DisplayHDR 1000, so expect at least 1000nits of peak brightness in HDR mode.

The post also states the monitor feature 576x mini LED dimming zones, allowing the monitor to cover 99% of the AdobeRGB colour spectrum. Moreover, it comes factory-calibrated with a delta E<2.

The Predator X32 FP comes with a built-in KVM switch, an HDMI 2.1 port, a USB-C port that supports 90W power delivery, and most likely other connectivity ports not mentioned in the specification list. The stand looks extremely similar to the original X32 features, so we assume it allows for tilt, swivel and height adjustments.

KitGuru says: Gaming monitors with 4K resolution and high refresh rates are slowly becoming the new norm, even if GPU power and supply is lagging behind a bit. Are any of you looking to upgrade your monitor in 2022? Will you be making the jump to 4K at a high refresh rate?
