Following on the heels of its popular LSX wireless speaker line, KEF has announced its next-generation LSX II Wireless speaker system.
The global audio company explains that its latest product incorporates the W2 wireless platform, which KEF also utilized for its LS50 II and LS60 wireless loudspeakers.
KEF states the new LSX II wireless speakers offer a choice of connections that include HDMI and USB-C to allow integrators to combine the speakers with TVs and computers to upgrade the sound quality of home AV systems and desktop computer systems. Supporting more traditional audio sources KEF points out the speakers also incorporate connections for source components such as turntables, CD players, and gaming consoles.
At the heart of the newly announced KEF speakers is the company’s proprietary Uni-Q driver array. KEF emphasizes the inclusion of the 11th-generation Uni-Q driver array acts as a point source where the tweeter is placed at the center of the woofer to reproduce clear, natural sound.
Powering KEF’s proprietary driver array is 200 watts of amplification that includes dedicated amplifiers for the woofer and tweeter.
Providing a wealth of entertainment options the LSX II speaker system is augmented by KEF’s companion Connect app. Through the app users can stream Amazon Music, Qobuz, TIDAL, Deezer, podcasts and Internet radio stations. Other wireless technologies the speakers support include Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast.
In addition, the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth-enabled KEF LSX II wireless speakers are MQA compatible, and they support audio files up to 24-bit/384kHz, as well as DSD high-resolution audio files.
Moreover, the speakers offer Room EQ DSP technologies to allow integrators to fine tune the integration of the LSX II speakers into a range of room environments.
KEF offers the speakers in a choice of five colors to help the products to blend into home settings unobtrusively.
